The fabric of your
How many different styles did you see on your last visit to a furniture chain outlet? A
dozen? At the Cassidy’s showroom, you can browse through literally HUNDREDS of
different fabrics by top name manufacturers such as Kravet, Robert Allen, JoAnn, Beacon
Hill and many, many more. These are the dazzling fabrics you’ve seen in all the decorating
magazines and on HGTV shows, in an unlimited number of colors, textures and patterns.
The choices are endless: damask, velvet, wool, cotton, rayon, stain-resistant Crypton. . .
the sky’s the limit.

WE WORK WITH YOU
David and Judith Cassidy work one-on-one with customers to turn furniture into works of
art. They will happily do an in-home consultation to get to know your personal tastes and
learn more about your furniture. They can help guide you through all the fabric options to
find the one that best suits your décor, or, if you prefer, they’ll help you choose something
that can become the foundation for a whole room makeover. Don’t forget, we also refurbish
any exposed wood, to ensure your furniture looks good enough to be the showpiece of
your home.
Why limit your options to what you find on the floor at a retail furniture store? Remember:
At Cassidy’s, it’s all about YOU.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
There’s much more to reupholstering than replacing fabric, including:
- Complete inspection (and repair if necessary)
- Springs - includes inspection, retying, tuning, replacement if necessary
- Webbing - includes inspection, replacement webbing if necessary
- Frame construction - includes inspection, re-gluing, new kiln-dried pieces to repair if
necessary.
- Back cushion refurbished - Dacron wrapping on foam cores, replacement requires
nominal up-charge.
- Foam seat cushions - includes inspections, Dacron wrapping, replacement requires
nominal up-charge.
- Removing all previous fabric (we never cover old fabric).
- Refurbish with #1clear white cotton felt where required.
- Recondition all exposed wood finishes
- Make minor style changes where requested or needed

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
An often overlooked benefit of reupholstering is its effect on the environment. Landfills
everywhere are littered with furniture that has been thrown away. By reinvesting in quality,
you’re making sure less wood needs to be cut down to create frames for furniture that’s
just going to end up in the dump. It’s just another way environmentally conscious
consumers can “go green.”

dreams.
We can’t say it enough: quality never goes
out of style. Cassidy’s upholstery
customers understand that – most of them
got it right the first time and have had their
furniture for years. But styles do change,
and your furniture can change with them
while keeping the original design and
quality construction that attracted you in
the first place. Or perhaps you’ve inherited
a family heirloom you want to revitalize or
restore. Reupholstering is reinvesting in
the value of your furniture.
